As a history teacher from Shanghai with a passion for exploring cultures through their cuisine, my recent stay at the Belvedere offered a mixed dining experience that I believe is worth sharing. The ambiance at the hotel’s restaurant was quite pleasant, and it provided a wonderful space to unwind at the end of the day. I enjoyed a refreshing drink at the bar/lounge, which was lively yet laid-back. I ventured out for a truly remarkable meal at Michele la Cremeria in San Leucio, about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. It was a delightful experience, with beautiful local flavors crafted by welcoming hosts. While the breakfast at the hotel could have been fresher—packaged pastries don't quite hit the mark—I appreciated the outdoor pool setting for enjoying snacks in the café. The Belvedere has potential, especially for food enthusiasts wanting to connect with the local gastronomic scene.
